Whitford St. Holmes was initially a short lived collaboration between Aerosmith guitarist Brad Whitford and Derek St. Holmes, formerly the vocalist for Ted Nugent, which formed in 1980 and went on to release a sole self-titled album before going their separate ways. Fast forward more than three decades later, Whitford St. Holmes is returning for a fall tour and then a new record.
The band’s current plans have Whitford St. Holmes heading back out on November 12 with a performance in Milwaukee, playing dates across the United States before concluding in New Hope, Pennsylvania on November 22. The tour will show the band performing selections from both iconic musicians’ catalogs, as well as (hopefully) a song or two from their 1981 debut.
The members of Whitford St. Holmes are actively working on material for their sophomore album ‘Reunion,’ expected for release in early 2016. Dedicated hard rock listeners fortunately won’t have to wait until next year to hear what this collaboration has in store, as Whitford St. Holmes will release the album’s first single in the near future. We will continue to report on the latest from Whitford St. Holmes as new information becomes available.
