The effort shows Hackett exploring a variety of different cultures while maintaining a strong hold on his original body of work that he focused on intensely over the past few years with his ‘Genesis: Revisited’ live shows.

Most readily recognized for his contributions on such early Genesis studio albums as ‘The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway’ and ‘Nursery Cryme,’ guitarist Steve Hackett has left a significant impact on the progressive rock community for these efforts alone, not counting his later ventures into classical and blues territory with his extensive solo career.

Although it isn’t exactly the Genesis reunion news which dedicated fans have been patiently anticipating, the original incarnation of the group have announced they are currently working with one another once again. It was recently announced that Genesis will be the subject of an upcoming BBC documentary, the tentatively titled ‘Genesis: Together and Apart,’ which claims to feature the first time the original lineup appeared with one another since 1975.

Steve Hackett is the acclaimed guitar virtuoso who played a pivotal role in the formation and development of Genesis. Throughout six of the acclaimed progressive rock group’s studio albums, Hackett was the dynamic guitarist which allowed the band to gradually evolve into the iconic name it remains today.
