While the eccentric guitarist has continued to develop a successful career outside of his work with the Scorpions, having since released a plethora of solo efforts and several offerings as a member of the heavy metal group Electric Sun, Uli Jon Roth’s forthcoming album shows the guitarist heading back towards the beginning of his career and providing new renditions of nineteen selections from his four studio releases with the German rock group.

According to the band’s frontman, it appears as though we’ll see a new Scorpions album arrive early next year. Klaus Meine recently revealed that he has completed all of his vocal tracks for the rock group’s forthcoming studio effort. Some of this new material was previously revealed to be based upon unreleased material from the Scorpions’ writing sessions for such readily recognized albums as ‘Blackout’ and ‘Love at First Sting.’

With their 50th Anniversary on the horizon, Scorpions are gearing up to rock the world like a hurricane with a compilation of new material and a corresponding tour. The guitarists behind the German hard rock veterans recently confirmed earlier speculation that the band was revisiting unreleased material originally recorded and ultimately abandoned during their ‘Blackout,’ ‘Love at First Sting,’ ‘Savage Amusement’ and ‘Crazy World’ studio albums.
