Rush have always been one to perform bold musical transitions whenever they saw fit, and in 1989 they did exactly this with the release of their thirteenth studio album, ‘Presto.’ The effort is widely recognized by dedicated fans for having marked the beginning of a strong shift away from the synthesizer-fueled sound of ‘Power Windows’ and ‘Hold Your Fire,’ and towards a more traditional rock-oriented approach.
