Rob Halford has been facing some somewhat outlandish criticisms from his peers in recent months; the most recent of those came from original Iron Maiden lead vocalist Paul Di’Anno, who earlier last month commented on how his vocal range “is actually getting better. I’m hitting notes Rob Halford can’t hit any more – and the reason is I don’t fuss over it.” However, Halford recently took the time to dismiss any notion that he has trouble reaching the shattering screams live.

Metal God, Rob Halford is currently preparing for the release of Judas Priest’s anticipated studio album, ‘Redeemer of Souls,’ however the vocalist is already looking forward to new projects outside of the band. This past Monday marked the first annual Ronnie James Dio ‘Stand Up and Award’ Ceremony at the Avalon in Hollywood, California. The event was held to acknowledge those within the rock and metal music community who were influenced by the late Ronnie James Dio, and to assist in funding research against the demon that is cancer.
