The lineup for the 2015 80s in the Park music festival already features several impressive hard rock artists.
Having already endured the elements during day one of the second annual 80s in the Park music festival, a weathered audience of hard rock fans arrived the following day feeling both exhausted and energized for the ten hours of bands that awaited them.
While leather pants and teased hair may no longer be socially acceptable fashion choices, there are some places where the 1980’s are never out of style. Festivals like 80s in the Park, M3, and Rocklahoma have kept the music (and yes, sometimes the fashion) of the 1980’s alive well into the 21st century and to a new generation of rock fans, and now Skull Fest is bringing a taste of the Sunset Strip to the upper Midwest.
Serving as a celebration of the decade in its namesake, the 80s in the Park music festival compiles a formidable compilation of predominantly rock bands and musicians of the era. The second annual event will take place at the Wickham Park Pavilion in Melbourne, Florida, and features three days of well known groups spanning across multiple sub-classifications of the genre.
The two acts join the already star-studded lineup for this year’s event, which includes headliners Stephen Pearcy, Jack Russell’s Great White and Faster Pussycat. Also making an appearance during the three day event are Killer Dwarfs, Lillian Axe, Bang Tango, John Corabi and Zebra, amongst others.
Rock and roll fans from across the Sunshine State made their way down to Melbourne, Florida, for a new music festival boasting an impressive list of groups and nostalgia to spare. 80s in the Park was ready to leave Wickham Park in a coat of hairspray. The entire weekend was run by the official Master of Ceremonies, comedian and watermelon activist Gallagher, who welcomed the majority of the dozen-plus groups onstage.
