Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry is determined to tell his side of the stories behind the band’s consistently hectic and, at times, controversial past with his upcoming autobiography, ‘Rocks: My Life in and Out of Aerosmith.’ Perry becomes the third member of Aerosmith to release a memoir regarding their musical career, following drummer Joey Kramer’s 2009 outing, ‘Hit Hard: A Story of Hitting Rock Bottom at the Top,’ and frontman Steven Tyler’s 2011 effort, ‘Does the Noise in my Head Bother You?’

Aerosmith’s Joe Perry Announces Autobiography Release Date

“It’s going to be my story, but it’s also entwined with Aerosmith and relationships there and the how and the why of that kind of stuff,” said Perry regarding his autobiography. “People have been asking me about it for the last probably five or 10 years… I’ll definitely take a different path than the other guys, the way they put their books together. I read probably 40 biographies and autobiographies, musical ones.
