For some rock advocates, the concrete foundation of bassist Gene Simmons and mainman Paul Stanley has continued to attribute a degree of authenticity to the current incarnation, so when the theoretical possibility of there being a lineup without either one of these veteran musicians, you wouldn’t be pressed to have a few members of the KISS Army raise their voices with outrage.

Throughout the past twelve months, an ongoing war of words have been exchanged between the four founding members of Kiss. Ace Frehley and Peter Criss have been more than vocal about their disapproval of current members Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer adopting their respective Spaceman and Catman personas in the band, a perspective commonly shared with some dedicated Kiss fans, however Singer has made his own statement regarding the situation.

Following original guitarist Ace Frehley’s announcement that the founding lineup of KISS would not perform at this year’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony, Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley issued a statement announcing that the group will not perform in any form.
