Kiss will finally be making their way into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year. But which lineup will perform?
It appears that vocalist and guitarist Paul Stanley is working towards having the full original Kiss lineup perform at the induction ceremony. Earlier this week, Stanley revealed through his official Facebook page that he had been in contact with original drummer and vocalist Peter Criss regarding the occasion.
“We just spoke with Peter. Whatever ongoing issues, no way to not share in celebrating what we started 40 years ago.” writes Stanley, next to a photo of Criss in his original Catman apparel. The news should come as exciting to Kiss fans, as the full original Kiss lineup has not performed together onstage since 2002.
Ace Frehley and Peter Criss most recently shared the same stage during radio talk show and VH1′s That Metal Show host Eddie Trunk’s 30th anniversary show. While it’s certain that the first four band members will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, alongside such names as Nirvana and Peter Gabriel, word as to which (if any) members from Kiss’ later years will also be inducted have yet to be announced.
