It doesn’t matter to fans how many times frontman Lemmy has take an extended leave for health reasons or the heavy metal veterans have to shorten their festival performances, because they understand that Motorhead is a resilient force to be reckoned with.

Time and time again the members of Motorhead have validated this point, and they do so again with the first song to be released from their 22nd studio album ‘Black Magic.’

“Thunder and Lightning” is about as close to classic Motorhead as one could anticipate; hell, everything down to the song’s grooving rhythm section and anthemic chorus could have found it a comfortable home on the ‘No Remorse’ effort.

This track is just the first taste of what’s to come on the upcoming Motorhead album, which features 13 new songs including a Rolling Stones cover and a guest appearance from Queen guitarist Brian May.

‘Bad Magic’ is expected to hit the shelves on August 28.
