The entire landscape surrounding Queen’s upcoming studio album has been announced, which dominantly features archival additions from the rock group’s vaults. While some dedicated fans are bound to scoff at the fact that ‘Queen Forever’ won’t be comprised of all previously unheard recordings, with the majority of tracks on the record appearing as rare cuts, alternative takes and new mixes, what the release does include are a compilation of songs directed towards the band’s diehard audience.

Brian May & Kelly Ellis To Release New Live Album, ‘Live in Montreux’

‘The Candlelight Concerts – Live at Montreux’ will be released on April 1, 2014 in DVD, CD, Blu-ray and digital formats. As compared to the duo’s previous live album, this new release from Brian May & Kelly Ellis shows slight more emphasis on May’s work in Queen by introducing songs such as “Tie Your Mother Down” and “We Will Rock You” into the set.

While his drumming has always been a feature which fans of Queen could always depend upon, Roger Taylor contributed in many more ways than just percussion work. Taylor is also the voice which provided most of the high vocal harmonies you hear in songs like “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “It’s Late”, and occasionally would even man the lead microphone for a few choice cuts in Queen’s catalog.
