Queensryche continues to rebuild the empire with the assistance of newly appointed frontman Todd La Torre, who has led the band back to their progressive metal origins since his introduction to the lineup in early 2012.

The members of Queensryche were subject to some strong critical acclaim following the release of their eponymous studio album the same year, and following months of extensive touring in support of the effort Queensryche has prepared their anticipated follow-up.

‘Condition Human’ will be released on October 2 through Century Media. The effort will serve as Queensryche’s fifteenth album overall and the second to feature the band’s current lineup, which also features founding members Michael Wilton (guitar), Eddie Jackson (bass) and Scott Rockenfield (percussion).

“We’ve had a situation where we could take a breath of fresh air and really look at what we’re going to write next,” Wilton previously told us during an exclusive interview at this year’s Welcome to Rockville festival.

“It really encompasses a broader view of what Queensryche is into. Like you were saying, we’re free to experiment and do what we want. If we want to write an eight minute song, we’ll do it. If we want to write a super fast song, we’ll do it. If we want to write a ballad, we’ll do it, you know?

“We just kind of go with what works. I’ve been writing for over 30 years, and you just kind of know that you’ve taken up an idea and you just keep building on it, and eventually it will turn into a Queensryche song.”

Queensryche have also released the new song “Arrow of Time,” one of the songs off of ‘Condition Human,’ in advance of the album’s October release. A stream of the song can be found below, as well as the band’s upcoming tour dates in support of the Scorpions.
