Lamb of God aren’t taking the conventional route this time around when it comes to releasing new music. The heavy metal group have already released three songs from their upcoming album ‘VII: Sturm und Drang,’ and they’re continuing this chain with the high octane rocker “Erase This.”

Lead vocalist Randy Blythe considers the forthcoming Lamb of God album”the most cohesive record” that the band has put together in some time, and it’s not hard to understand why just based upon the guitar-oriented intensity of “Erase This.”

“This is a very, very dark, yet sonically highly varied, record,” said Blythe. Keeping in mind the themes of the previously released “Overload,” “512” and “Still Heroes” off of the forthcoming LP, the frontman likely isn’t too far off.

The new Lamb of God album ‘VII: Sturm und Drang’ is expected for release on July 24 via Epic Records, which falls on the exact same day that their summer tour alongside Bullet for My Valentine and Slipknot begins in West Palm Beach, Florida.
